FAQ
Quick answers. Clear expectations. If you want the rules and limits, read Standards and Boundaries.
Basics
What is Sit With You?
Sit With You is a paid, one hour clarity session in a real barbershop. No haircut. You talk through what feels stuck. You leave with 1 to 3 decisions made and one clear next step.
What happens in a Sit?
We start by naming the real question. We lay out options and constraints. We cut what does not matter. We close with one decision and one next step you can act on.
How long is it?
One hour. If you want more time, book another Sit.
What do I leave with?
You leave with fewer options, clearer priorities, and one next step. You should feel clearer, not dependent.
Where does this take place?
Private after-hours barbershops in the Charlotte area. Exact location shown at booking.
The Thought Barber
Who is the Thought Barber?
A Thought Barber is a clarity guide. They help you think clearly under time and emotional pressure. They do not diagnose. They do not make your decisions. They help you hear your own thinking.
What backgrounds do Thought Barbers come from?
Many are strategists. Some are life coaches. Some are corporate executives. Some are therapists. Almost all have a graduate degree. All are familiar with the kinds of decisions people face daily.
If they are experts, why not just give me advice?
Their job is not to tell you what to do. Advice can create dependence, bias outcomes, and skip the real constraints. The point is clarity. You reduce the time it takes to make a quality decision that has been thought through.
Do Thought Barbers have a method?
Yes. We use a structured approach to move from confusion to decision. The goal is focus, not motivation.
Topics
What can I bring to a Sit?
Career moves. Business problems. Money stress. Relationships. Life direction. Forms. Benefits. Decisions you have delayed. If it is a real decision with real constraints, it fits.
What is this not for?
Crisis situations. Mental health emergencies. Couples therapy. Diagnoses. Treatment. Legal representation. If you need clinical or emergency support, this is not the right place.
Can I bring documents or notes?
Yes. Bring anything that helps you state the problem clearly. Keep it simple. One page is ideal.
Can I bring another person?
It depends on the session type and the location. For launch, plan on one person per sit unless the booking page explicitly offers a two person sit.
Booking and pricing
How do I book?
Use the Book Now button. Choose a location and time. Pay to confirm. You will receive a confirmation with arrival instructions.
Do you take walk ins?
No. Appointment only.
What does it cost?
Pricing is shown on the Pricing page and during booking checkout. If you want a deeper session with pre-read or research, book the deep consult option if available.
What is the cancellation policy?
Reschedule rules follow the booking system policy shown at checkout. No shows may forfeit the session fee.
Privacy
Is my Sit confidential?
We treat your sit as private. We do not share your story publicly without explicit permission. Limits exist for safety. See Standards and Boundaries for details.
Do you record sessions?
Not unless you opt in ahead of time. Recording rules can vary by location. Always ask first.
Safety and boundaries
Is Sit With You therapy?
No. It is not therapy, coaching, or medical care. It is a structured clarity session focused on decisions and next steps.
What if I am in crisis?
Do not book a Sit for crisis support. If you are in immediate danger, call local emergency services. If you need clinical care, we will encourage you to seek it.
Where can I read the full rules?
Read Standards and Boundaries. It covers conduct, safety, confidentiality limits, and referrals.
